Everyone from the Breadman to the Aeronautical Engineer wants to tell you his product is the best - as well as does everyone who sells Heating Equipment. Heating Manufacturers, Distributors, Dealers and Servicers make this claim, that claim, and put false efficiency numbers on their Spec-sheets to get you (the unsuspecting consumer) to buy no matter what the truth is. The only problem is that MOST Heating Equipment sucks up fuel as if you were pouring it and your hard-earned money right down the Toilet - and in 95% of the cases you are. So whom do you believe - THE HEATER that's whom !!!

The Second law of Thermodynamics says that EVERYTHING is in a state of decay. But the First and most important law is that Al is always right: All energy changes, Entropy Rules and no energy in the Universe is ever lost - it's where it goes that counts..

All anyone has to do is look at the size of your Vent Pipe / Stack Pipe / Chimney Hole or ANY exhaust port of ANY heater you own (ALONG WITH THE FUEL COMPANY) and that tells the whole story: The bigger the Exhaust...the more 550° wasted heat right up the stack and then on to Pluto. The fuel that had potential energy to warm your house now is in most cases drafted up the chimney at a 45% loss - READ THAT AGAIN: 45% loss. (I have the same Test-kit that every other Heating Man does and they always say 83-88% to make the customer feel good - But that is the biggest lie on the planet and is planned that way by the Test Equipment Manufacturers in conjunction with the Boiler/Furnace Manufacturers). Now if you have unlimited $$$$$$$'s and don't mind how inefficient your current heating system is (only 30-55%) - stop now and play a video game. For we other average blue-collar workers that need to squeeze every dime out of a nickel we can out of a Gallon of High Cost Fuel.

Here are the facts...

When 95% of the heating company companies claim 80-90% efficiency - they are both right and wrong as ALL fuels burn 80-90% efficient At the Flame and that is called the Heat of Combustion - which is 350-600 degrees. BUT...it is where that heat really goes and how well it is utilized that is more important than anything else.

The ONLY Reason for the different sized vent pipes/stackpipes/chimneys is that each different sized vent is designed to carry away the waste-heat of combustion (350-550 degrees) for that particular heater - Heat that does not go into heating your living area. The bigger the pipe...the more heat goes up & out the chimney (350-550 degrees of wasted dollars) and the less HEAT going into going your home = (BIG dollar$ wasted year after year / after year / after year - ad infinitum and you are still not warm)!

Only Toyo/Rinnai puts the least waste-heat up the chimney at the lowest temperature and the MOST Heat into your home - Your family is Warm and your Wallet is NOT empty.

The larger the Square-inches of Venting , the Larger the Multiplier - and that is BAD, BAD, BAD!!!
